Some tiaras which could work with this style of dress, with a big Thank You to Splendorist Kate who's splendid comment sparked the thought of adding this!

Left column starting at the top: (L1) Duchess of Devonshire’s Emerald Tiara; (L2) Grand Duchess Marie-Adélaïde’s Tiara; (L3) Diadem, Diamonds and Pearls French 19th c; (L4) Belle Epoque Diamond Tiara, aka. Rockingham Tiara
Right column starting at the top: (R1) Thyreos Vassiliki Wreath Tiara; (R2) Jade Orchid Kokoshnik Tiara; (R3) Victorian Natural Pearl and Diamond Tiara Necklace; (R4) Hazel Branch Diadem, Lalique 1900-02 |
Your turn: One of these, and if so: which one? Or some other tiara, and if so: which one?
I like all your suggested combinations.
ReplyDeleteMy choice - Queen Maxima of the Netherlands in this dress and modelled shoes with the opal jewellery. (Alternatively - Note to self: search Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor archives for a tiara and parure that would suit this dress - I love the Dutch Diamond Bandeau but I think a tiara with more height is needed in this instance but the Stuart is too large, the intracacy of the (non-)Mellerio sapphire tiara might compete with the intracacy of the dress and I can't remember any of the others!)
Splendorist Kate
That is a splendorific idea, Kate, extend the length to floor and add a tiara! Let me ruminate on which tiara might work because right now I'm pulling a blank. More coffee is in order, methinks :-)
DeleteWhat about ... the Cartier Rock Crystal tiara (e.g. in the Mario Sierra outfit ...)
